Richards Captures First Career Win
at Oxford Plains Speedway

Cam Richards of South Paris led all 20 laps of the Agren Runnin Rebels to win his first race on Saturday night during Christmas in July at OPS.

Breeanna Spaulding of Lisbon won her 6th race in the T&M Commercial Funding Ladies division. Amara Parker started pole and led half a lap before Kasie Kolbe took the lead. Spaulding followed and moved up to challenge her, taking the lead from her on lap 2. Spaulding led the rest of the feature. Kasie Kolbe of Lisbon settled for 2nd while Amara Parker of West Parsonsfield finished in 3rd place.

Kyle Glover of Oxford took home his 2nd win of the season in the DnL Weatherization Sport Trucks. Glover took the early lead and led all 20 laps.  Ryan Farrar finished 2nd in a borrowed truck after blowing his motor during the heat race and Lukas Mitchell of Lafayette rounded out the top 3.

Michael Phillips of Turner won his 2nd Rogee's Auto Repair Cruisers race of the season. He took the lead at the start and led all 20 laps. Matt Hiscock of Turner passed 3rd and 2nd place on lap 17 to bring home a 2nd place finish while William Barker of Mechanic Falls picked up 3rd.

Jason Cyr of Turner captured his 3rd win of the season in the 4 Cylinder Figure 8s. Scott Merrill of Auburn and Travis Verrill of Oxford finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Cam Childs of Leeds became the first repeat winner of the season in the Mainely Ductless and Air Outlaws. Chris Foster and Rick Thompson Jr. battled for the lead at the start before Foster slid back and Childs took over 2nd place. Brandon Varney, Foster, and Johnathon Emerson went 3 wide on lap 9. Emerson passed on the outside taking 3rd place. Childs and Emerson passed Thompson 3 wide on the same lap. Childs took the lead and Emerson and Varney battled for 2nd behind him. Emerson pulled away with 2nd on lap 16. Jonathan Emerson of Sabattus finished 2nd with Brandon Varney of Mechanic Falls picking up 3rd place.

Cam Richards took the lead at the start of the Agren Runnin Rebels feature, holding off his brother, Thomas Richards, and Adam Oneil. AJ Smith took over 3rd on lap 8. After a caution on lap 13, C. Richards held onto the lead and T. Richards battled Smith for 2nd place. Eventually T. Richards fell back and Smith moved up into 2nd place. John Childs took over 3rd place and had to hold off Dylan Cook in the closing laps. Cam Richards led all 20 laps of the feature, finally picking up his first career win. AJ Smith of Harrison finished in 2nd place with John Childs of Auburn taking home a solid 3rd place finish.

Motor Mayhem winners were: David Cook in the enduro, Bub Dow in the Wicked Good Racing Association, Lyman Mckeage in the Modified Spectator Drags, Jeremy Harlow in the Stock Spectator Drags, and Bill Besile in the Smokey Donut competition.
