Second Outlaw Win for Skip Tripp |
Skip Tripp of Oxford scored his 2nd PB n' J
Yardworks Outlaw feature win in a row on Friday night
June 24th during the Oxford Acceleration Series.
Breeanna Spaulding took home her 3rd win of the season
in the T&M Commercial Funding ladies. Spaulding took the
early lead and led all 20 laps of the feature. Amara
Parker finished in 2nd place with Maddy Herrick rounding
out the top 3.
AJ Smith picked up his first win
of the season in the Agren Appliance Rebels. Keegan
Leighton took the early lead with Anthony Giggey in 2nd
and Dylan Cook in 3rd. After a caution on lap 5 Leighton
kept the lead but Smith and Oneil went 3 wide. It worked
in Smith's favor he took over 2nd place but Oneil fell
back. Smith chased down the leader taking the lead from
him on lap 9 with Jeff Libby following him taking over
2nd place. Leighton fell back and Doug Degroat moved
into 3rd place. AJ Smith led the rest of the 20 lap
feature. Jeff Libby and Doug Degroat finished 2nd and
3rd respectively.
Ryan Varney topped the field in
the Rodney's Repair Cruisers to win his first of the
season. Ethan Guptill took the early lead after a
caution on lap 1 with Randy Rhodes in 2nd and Varney in
3rd. Cody Merrill and Randy Rhodes spun on lap 5
bringing out another caution. Guptill continued to lead
on the restart with Varney in 2nd as William Barker took
3rd from John Childs on lap 12. Varney caught up to
Guptil on lap 17 and took the lead the following lap.
Ethan Guptill ended up settling for 2nd place with Paul
Hopkins finishing behind in him 3rd place.
Matt
Merrill won his 2nd ATA Piping Sport Trucks feature of
the season. Merrill took the lead on lap 1 and ran away
with it. Ryan Farrar finished in 2nd with Kyle Glover
picking up 3rd place.
Matt Veinott took the early
lead in the PB n' J Yardworks Outlaws feature with Betty
Nelson in 2nd and Will Dunphy in 3rd. Nelson, Dunphy and
Skip Tripp went 3-wide to take the lead. Tripp was
finally able to take the lead on lap 5. Nelson fell to
2nd with Dunphy in 3rd. Dunphy eventually move to the
outside of Nelson then the inside to finally take over
2nd on lap 16. Skip Tripp led the rest of feature. Will
Dunphy took home 2nd with Betty Nelson round out the top
