GO-KART
SERIES
OXFORD, Maine - The JARRacing Photography Go Kart Series will
return for its sixth season in 2008 with a 13-race schedule.
Six divisions ranging from youth to
adult will compete Friday nights, beginning at 6:30 p.m. Opening
night will be Friday, May 2.
The pre-season practice night has
been eliminated from the schedule this season to allow for an extra
race date. In order to accommodate extra practice time, the gate
will open 1/2 hour earlier on May 2 and May 9, with one bonus
warm-up session for each division prior to the races.
Reigning champions are Cody Chiasson (Box Stock), Evan Armington
(Purple Plate), Troy Davis (Blue Plate), Spencer Morse (Gold Plate),
Stephen Beattie (Star Champ) and Dave Farrington Jr. (Unrestricted).
The event schedule is as follows:
Week 1: Friday, May 2 (one extra practice session prior to race)
Week 2: Friday, May 9 (one extra practice session prior to race)
Week 3: Friday, May 16
Week 4: Friday, May 23
Week 5: Friday, May 30
Week 6: Friday, June 6
Week 7: Friday, June 13
Week 8: Friday, June 20
Week 9: Friday, July 11
Week 10: Friday, July 25
Week 11: Friday, August 8
Week 12: Friday, August 15 (Championship Night)
Week 13: Friday, Sept. 5 (Kart Klash)
