Oxford
Plains
Snow Tubing
is now open !!
OXFORD,
Maine - Hours of family fun await students and grown-ups alike when
Oxford Plains Snow Tubing opens for the season on Friday, Dec. 23.
The
tubing park will be open every day during the upcoming school
vacation week from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The same hours will prevail
during February vacation week.
Regular
weekend hours are Friday, 4 to 10 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.,
and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Oxford
Plains Snow Tubing is operated by the same
management team that directs Oxford Plains Speedway and Oxford
Plains Fun Park.
"We
are excited about the prospects for another great season," said
owner Bill Ryan. "The below-normal temperatures early in
December have been ideal for snowmaking, so the machines have been
hard at work. And although those first two winter storms just missed
us to the south, the six inches of snow that fell here each of the
last two Fridays should
help to create perfect conditions for the holiday
weekend."
Snow
tubing is a fun, safe experience for the entire family. Mandatory
safety equipment and a variety of trails ensure that outdoor
enthusiasts young and old will enjoy their visit. And if you're a
mom or dad who doesn't get excited about cold weather, don't worry.
There's an enclosed viewing area where you can keep an eye on the
kids while sipping a cup of hot coffee.
The
park offers hourly rates and all-day passes, and gift certificates
make ideal stocking stuffers. We also accommodate church and school
groups or large family get-togethers on the day night of your
choice. Be our guest, but don't delay. Call Butch Lenberg at (207)
539-8865 now to reserve your time and find out about group rates, or
to order purchase gift certificates.
Oxford
Plains Snow Tubing is located approximately two miles south of
Oxford Plains Speedway on Route 26, just beyond Welchville Junction.
