ACCELERATION SERIES
May 30, 2007
Heath rules Crazy Horse
Renegades;
Rain reigns supreme over the rest
OXFORD, Maine – Jamie Heath beat the advancing clouds to lead
every lap of the Crazy Horse Racing Engines Renegade feature
Wednesday evening at Oxford Plains Speedway.
He was the only one celebrating.
While Heath was in victory lane acknowledging his sponsors and crew,
the threatening skies opened and forced postponement of the
remainder of the Acceleration Series program.
The remaining five features will be
run in combination with upcoming Acceleration Series events
throughout the summer.
Macdonald Motors Runnin' Rebel
feature #1 will be run June 20. Rebel #2 is now scheduled for June
27. Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy Ladies and Call of the Wild RV
Sport Truck divisions will run their make-up events on July 4, and
Runnin' Rebel #3 is slated for July 11.
Lineups for each of those races are
locked in. Cars will be started in the order listed below, and no
driver who did not sign in Wednesday night will be allowed to
compete in the make-up race. Other drivers may compete in the
regularly scheduled events on those nights, however.
Because the race program was already
underway and because races will be made up in future events, pit
bracelets for Wednesday's race are not redeemable for an alternate
night.
Main grandstand tickets may be
redeemed as rain checks for any $5 Acceleration Series event in the
2007 season.
It's a doubleheader weekend at OPS
this Saturday and Sunday. Sun Journal Night is highlighted by a
100-lap Allen's Mini Stock feature. Qualifying is at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday. Sunday at 1 p.m. features the first Motor Mayhem card of
the season, with Enduro Twin 100s, Spectator Drags and a Smoky Donut
Show.
