12 races, 12 winners in weekly
50-lap Super Late Model races
Oxford, Maine - Kyle Treadwell of Buckfield outran the Super Late Model field by a comfortable margin Saturday night, becoming the 12th winner in twelve Budweiser Championship Series races for the top-tier class at Oxford Plains Speedway this season.

Treadwell started from the pole and survived the race's line restart with one lap one the scoreboard. Shawn Knight of South Paris prevailed in a near-racelong battle against Anson's Scott Moore for runner-up honors.

Scott Robbins of Dixfield was best in class among previous winners, finishing fourth after starting 11th. Alan Wilson of Hebron rounded out the top five. Turner's Shawn Martin led an all-2016 winner second five including reigning champion Timmy Brackett of Buckfield, Oxford's Dennis Spencer, Buckfield's TJ Brackett and Gary Smith of Bangor.

Calvin Rose, Jr. of Turner stopped a three-race winning streak by main championship rival Matt Dufault of Turner in the 30-lap feature race for Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy Street Stocks. Rose remains atop the championship battle by a narrow margin with his third win of the campaign.

Dufault got to the lead with another impressive charge up the outside, even far outside, groove. Rose was up to second position when a restart a lap shy of the halfway point set up a showdown where he'd stop the track's hottest racer.

Behind Rose and Dufault under the checkered flag was Zach Emerson, adding to his seemingly-endless supply of third-place trophies this year. Bryce Mains of Naples and Norway's Jordan Russell rounded out the top five.

Championship contender Tyler Green of Turner finally picked up his first win of the season in the 20-lap main event for MacDonald Motors of Bridgton Bandits division racers. Green wired the remarkably trouble-free race from the pole, but 12th-place starter Jamie Heath made things interesting in the closing laps. Green and Heath were 1-2 under the checkered flag, followed closely by Oxford's Charlie Hall with a strong run. Waterford's Bill Grover and Josh Knoll of Mechanic Falls rounded out the top five.

Figure 8 all-time great David Smith of South Paris raced to his third win of the season in the 15-lap race for the Ariens / Gravely / Dave's Small Engine class. Smith once again outran reigning champion and current points leader Jon Lizotte of Lewiston to the checkered flag. Kyle Kilgore of South Paris claimed third-place honors, ahead of South Paris racer Greg Durgin and the younger John Lizotte.
