Cookson Wins 2 In A Row in SLM |
Max Cookson put on a clinic this weekend picking
up another Super Late Model win at Oxford Plains Speedway.
Greg
Durgin captured a win in the Aroma Joe Figure 8s. Larry
Lizotte and Scott Merrill finished 2nd and 3rd
respectively.
Jaxson Morside took home his first
win of the season in the ATA Piping Inc Rookies. Morside
took the lead on lap 2 and ran away with it. Tyler
Connolly raced up the inside and took 2nd place on lap
4. Connolly finished the race in 2nd while Karson Hewins
picked up 3rd place.
Jacoby Mains picked up his
first win in the Cooley's Commercial Mad Bombers
feature. Mains and Michael Dearden raced for the lead at
the start before Mains pulled away, leading the rest of
the 20 lap feature. Corey Morgan made his way up through
the field to finish 2nd with Nick Wilson picking up 3rd
place.
Jordan Russell won his 2nd Richard
Spaulding Roofing Street Stocks feature in a row.
Russell and Dale Lawrence spun on lap 1 bringing out an
early caution. Tyson Jordan took the early lead on the
restart. Cautions bred cautions during this feature
unfortunately. Lawrence spun on lap 14, and on the
restart George Haskell and Chris Foster got together
before another lap was complete. Jordan Russell, Joey
Israelson and Richard Spaulding went three wide for 3rd.
Spaulding ended up spinning bringing out another caution
late in the race. Russell drove up the inside on the
restart to take the lead. Russell led the rest of the
race. Tyson Jordan picked up 2nd with Joey Israelson
finishing in 3rd.
Richard Kimball won in the
KHM/Floor Solutions Thunder Stocks. Orion Tripp took the
early lead before being spun and bringing out a caution
on lap 1. On the restart Charlie Hall took the lead and
led 4 laps before another caution came out. Kimball took
the lead on that restart and led the rest of the 20 lap
feature. Tucker Haskell finished in 2nd place with Todd
Hall finishing in 3rd.
Zach Bowie topped the
field in the Dow Excavation Inc. Limiteds feature. Chris
Smith Briefly took the lead at the start before Bowie
ran away with the lead. After cautions on lap 6 and on
lap 11, Bowie kept the lead and led the rest of the 35
lap feature. Chris Smith settled for 2nd place with
Colby Meserve picking up 3rd place.
Ryan Robbins
took the lead at the start of the Super Late Models race
before a pile-up occurred at the back of the pack.
Brandon Barker took the lead on the restart. Many
cautions later Barker had to pit under caution on lap
13. Robbins took the lead on the restart with Shawn
Knight in 2nd and Joe Pastore battling Mike Rowe for 3rd
place. Max Cookson raced up the outside on lap 29 and
caught up to Robbins on lap 34 to take the lead. Cookson
led the rest of the 50 lap feature. Robbins eventually
fell back after another caution on lap 36. Shawn Knight
ended up taking home 2nd place with Joe Pastore picking
up 3rd. |
